Do I have to rent the whole house?

No. You can set a minimum number of rooms/families – open spots can be booked by other families through Family Hostel. You don’t need to fill everything yourself.

How many families do I need at minimum?

Depending on the house, 3–6 families minimum. We’ll advise you on which house fits your group size.

Can I set a theme?

Yes – ski week, hiking trip, language camp, remote work retreat or just shared holidays. You define the theme, we help with the setup.

What does it cost me as an organiser?

You book at the same rates as other participants – there’s no separate organiser fee. Members get the community discount (33%) here too.

Which houses are available?

Currently Petit Velan at the Great St Bernard Pass and other network houses. Write to us – we’ll show you what’s available for your desired period.

Can I promote the chapter publicly?

Yes. We can list your chapter on the Family Hostel website so other families can book open spots.

What if too few families sign up?

We agree on a minimum participant number together. If it’s not reached by a certain date, there’s a free rebooking or refund.
